Fluorescence Imaging and Spectroscopy for Oral Cancer Detection

Abstract

We present results demonstrating how depth-resolved fluorescence and reflectance spectroscopy can non-invasively and objectively discriminate between normal and neoplastic oral mucosa with improved sensitivity and specificity, and describe their implications for improved oral cancer screening.
