FPGA-based Electronics for Confocal Line-Scanners with Linear Detector Arrays

Abstract

Linear detector arrays are conveniently driven by FPGA-based electronics and enable simple line-scanning confocal microscope configurations. Their responsivity and signal-to-noise ratio for reflectance line-scanning is comparable to that of standard APD detectors for point-scanning.
