Two-photon microscopy with adaptive illumination power

Abstract

We have introduced a feedback loop into a two-photon microscope to hold emitted fluorescence to a constant, enhancing effective dynamic range and increasing sensitivity at darker portions of an image without significantly changing overall exposure.
