Estimates of Fluorescence Lifetime of Targets Deeply Embedded in Turbid Medium, a Step to a Functional Imaging of Tissue Abnormalities

Abstract

A novel method for estimating lifetime of deeply embedded fluorophores, based on scaling relations for photon migration is presented. It is experimentally substantiated for targets embedded in turbid medium, using our lifetime fluorescence imaging system.
