Measurement of Collagen Content of Coronary Artery Plaque by Polarization Sensitive Optical Coherence Tomography (PS-OCT)

Abstract

This study demonstrates that PS-OCT not only can identify the presence of collagen in coronary plaques but also can estimate collagen content. This technology provides an improved method for risk stratification of coronary plaques.
