In Vivo Fiber Confocal Microscopy for Detection of Oral Cavity Neoplasia

Abstract

We have achieved in vivo, high-resolution imaging of normal, pre-neoplastic, and neoplastic oral mucosa using a fiber optic confocal microscope. In vivo confocal microscopy shows significant potential to aid in evaluation of oral lesions.
