Determination of Lipid Layer Thickness with Broadband Diffuse Optical Spectroscopy

Abstract

Broadband Diffuse Optical Spectroscopy (DOS) measurements performed on the forearm of ten subjects with varying lipid layer thicknesses are correlated with skin fold calipers values to show that DOS can be used independently to measure lipid layer thickness.
