Abstract
Experiments and theory demonstrate that measurement precision in discrete, non-continuum media such as tissue or a powder bed, depends upon the concentration of the absorber of interest as well as the volume sampled by migrating photons. In this work, we demonstrate the precision of frequency domain photon migration in pharmaceutical powder blends can be as high as that of traditional wet-chemical analysis for monitoring pharmaceutical blending processes.
