Artifact Reduction in CW Transmission Diffuse Optical Tomography

Abstract

Three dimensional image reconstruction from diffuse optical tomography suffers from unwanted high-frequency image noise. We show how a customized mesh and proper preprocessing steps can lead to artifact reduction and quantification improvement in reconstructed images.
