Fine Needle Aspiration Low Coherence Interferometry System for guidance in the Breast Biopsy Procedures

Abstract

A method and apparatus utilizing low coherence interferometry (LCI) for guiding fine needle aspiration (FNA) is described. Our results demonstrate that LCI may be used for accurate differentiation of various types of breast tissue.
