Abstract
Relatively inexpensive, commercially available components are used to image skin cancer using polarized light. The resultant images are easily resolved into separate red, green and blue images. The polarization-resolved images eliminate glare and improve the resolution of subsurface skin structures. The polarization photography set-up can be used to guide the radiation oncologist in decisions such as treatment margin delineation.
