Mapping depolarization properties of biotissues for increasing specificity of OCT

Abstract

To increase the specificity of optical coherence tomography (OCT) a map of depolarizing properties of biological tissues has been acquired by means of crosspolarization OCT. Comparisons between tomograms obtained in orthogonal polarizations have been made.
