Abstract

Current thermal models for destruction of the unwanted skin blood vessels in a port wine stain (telangiectasia) are all based on achieving a critical time-temperature profile in the blood vessel. The major consideration is to maximize the blood vessel destruction and minimize damage to surrounding tissue.
