Silica Spherical Micro Resonators Temperature Sensor, Experiments and Simulation

Abstract

We developed near ambient temperature experiments based on spherical micro-resonators showing the relation between the wavelength shift of whispering gallery modes and the surrounding temperature, which are visualized in a finite element simulator.
