Random Long Period Fiber Gratings: Spectral Features and Perspectives

Abstract

We propose the fabrication of random long period fiber gratings (RLPGs). We characterized the spectral response of two types of RLPGs and discuss possible applications in the fields of telecommunication and sensing.
