Mobility of 1D solitons in the discrete CQ Schrödinger equation

Abstract

We investigate mobility for localized modes in the discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equation with cubic and quintic (focusing and defocusing) terms. The largest soliton’s power admitting motion of kicked solitons is predicted analytically and numerically corroborated.
