Single and two-phase flow measurements using optical fiber Bragg gratings

Abstract

The use of quasi-distributed optical fiber Bragg grating strain sensors is demonstrated as single and dual phase flow meters. Results show the potential of this technique to characterize and investigate flow evolution along a pipeline.
