Simultaneous Sensing of Temperature and Strain by Combined FBG and Mode-Interference Sensors

Abstract

We examine the combination of a FBG and mode-interference sensor for simultaneous temperature and strain sensing. Results for temperature and strain sensitivities are presented and the sensor performance in a simultaneous measurement experiment is evaluated.
