Post-fabrication wavelength trimming of fiber Bragg gratings by using a 213-nm 8-ps pulsed laser

Abstract

We demonstrate post-fabrication wavelength trimming of FBGs in two fiber types by using a 213-nm pulsed laser and show that it has significant advantages compared to trimming by using Argon-Ion laser.
