Fiber Bragg grating operating in the visible range written with 400 nm femtosecond pulses and a phase-mask

Abstract

A fiber Bragg grating with reflectivity of 99.9% at 542.2 nm was written in silica using 400 nm femtosecond pulses and a phase-mask. This is the first step towards the development of all-fiber visible lasers.
