Writing of Complex Fiber Bragg Grating Superstructures with Fiber/Phase-Mask Position Control

Abstract

We demonstrate a simple and flexible approach to make FBGs with elaborate phase functions through proper control of the relative fiber/phase mask position during the fabrication process. The technique avoids the need for complex phase masks.
