Line by Line Fiber Bragg Grating by Femtosecond Laser

Abstract

4th order fibre Bragg grating was made line by line using femtosecond laser. Strong attenuation (~16dB) and low insertion loss (~0.5dB) were obtained with 2000 periods. High thermal annealing showed it can survive at 800°C.
