Bending characteristics of holey fiber-based long-period fiber grating depending on rotational orientation

Abstract

We discuss bending properties of a long-period fiber grating (LPFG) inscribed into a holey Fiber depending on an axial rotation angle and achieve a bending-insensitive LPFG under a certain range of a bending curvature (<3.9 m–1).
