Iterative method for the design of arbitrary multi-channel fiber Bragg gratings

Abstract

A new method for designing complex FBGs is reported. The method allows imposing specific physical criteria such as a smooth apodization profile and a phase spectrum compatible with the use of a complex phase mask. An experimental demonstration is shown.
