Phase-matched concatenation of fiber Bragg gratings using the anti -phase amplitude modulation experienced by the inscription UV beams after diffraction by the gratings

Abstract

Phase matching of short gratings is demonstrated using the grating-induced diffraction of inscription UV beams. The efficiency of the method was demonstrated by concatenating gratings written in H2 loaded and unloaded SMF28 fiber.
