Temperature Dependence Compensation on EDFA Gain Profile using a Phase-Shifted Long-Period Fiber Grating

Abstract

The temperature dependence of EDFA gain profile was compensated passively using a phase-shifted long-period fiber grating. Gain profile keeps 0.2dBpp flatness in the temperature range of 0–65°C over 25nm bandwidth with the 29.5dB gain.
