Photosensitivity within Hydrogen Loaded Optical Waveguides

Abstract

Two types of photosensitivity are shown to occur in an optical fibre loaded with hydrogen irradiated with UV light: one at the core cladding interface and the other at the core. The latter is thermally more stable and drives the interfacial changes.
