Suppression of Cladding-Mode Coupling Loss in Fiber Bragg Grating by Precise Control of Photosensitive Profiles in an Optical Fiber

Abstract

Under 0.1dB of cladding-mode coupling loss was achieved by precisely controlled photosensitive profile in optical fibers experimentally. The fluctuation of GeO2 profile in photosensitive region was expected 5 to 10 %.
