High Refractive Index Contrast Bragg Gratings: An Accurate Fourier Transform Theory

Abstract

We present a Fourier transform-based analytical coupled-mode theory for high refractive index contrast Bragg gratings. The theory is useful for designing gratings and photonic crystal structures. It also predicts photon localisation for only infinite crystalline structures.
