Positively chirped pulse evolution in a passively mode-locked thulium-doped fiber laser

Abstract

We report on a passively mode-locked thulium fiber laser with fiber based dispersion management. The laser delivers positively chirped pulses with 0.7 nJ of pulse energy, which can be compressed to sub-500 fs duration.
