6.6 J/2 Hz Yb:YAG Diode-Pumped Laser Chain Activation

Abstract

With careful Amplified Spontaneous Emission and thermal management, 6.6 Joules 7 ns pulses were extracted at 2 Hz in four passes from Lucia active mirror Yb:YAG Diode Pumped Laser amplifier. 15% optical to optical efficiency was achieved.
