Abstract

We present a CW/pulsed master oscillator-power amplifier (MOPA) fiber source operating near 980nm and based on an Yb-doped fiber pumped by a Nd-doped fiber laser at 930nm. Up to 2.1W was obtained in CW regime with a slope efficiency of 81%.
