High power narrow-band ASE as source for beam combining applications

Abstract

We report on a 12 pm narrow-band ASE source with 697 W of continuous-wave output power and a beam quality of M2=1.3. Such an emission is ideal for spectral beam combining setups where SBS is known as one of the primary limiting nonlinear effects.
