Intracavity Synthetic Diamond: Underpinning Wavelength Diversity in Semiconductor Disk Lasers

Abstract

Semiconductor disk lasers are diode-pumped solid-state lasers offering broad spectral coverage. An approach to thermal management that is similarly adaptable is thus required: finite element analysis shows that intracavity diamond heatspreaders are such an approach.
