Directly Chirped Laser Source for Chirped-Pulse Amplification

Abstract

A programmable, all-fiber, chirped-pulse seed laser system based on direct phase modulation produces 2.5-ns optical pulses with 0.78-nm bandwidth centered at 1053 nm that are suitable for chirped-pulse amplification.
