Transparent YAG ceramics were made from Al<sup>2</sup>O<sup>3</sup>and Y<sup>2</sup>O<sup>3</sup>powders. The laser performance of Nd:YAG ceramics has been studied, and it was confirmed that their slope efficiency was equivalent to that of single crystal. Article not available.
