Single-mode, highly polarized Yb-doped fiber laser with 850 W output power

Abstract

An 850 W linearly polarized, pump power limited, fiber laser based on a simple coiling technique is presented. The degree of polarization is measured by two means, different fiber lengths and pump wavelengths are used.
