Single-frequency fiber amplifier emitting 7.8 W at 1030 nm

Abstract

We report on fiber power amplification with a single-frequency Yb:YAG nonplanar ring oscillator seed source. The system emits up to 7.8 W single-frequency radiation at 1030 nm with an M2 < 1.1.
