Abstract

We demonstrate an optical-gain clamped Erbium-doped-waveguide-amplifier suitable for application to high-capacity reconfigurable WDM metro-networks. The waveguide amplifier is insensitive to channel add/drop and to spectral-hole-burning offset in large wavelength range suitable for 16-channel WDM systems.
