Abstract

This paper reports on the design and performance of a KTA OPO pumped and wavelength tuned at a 1 kHz repetition rate. The wavelength-tuning scheme for the KTA OPO is based on rapidly changing the angular position of the pump laser beam by a fast acousto-optic beam deflector. A novel, “quasi” semi-concentric resonator requires no realignment at different pump beam angles.
