Abstract
The pulsed and CW laser oscillation of Cr3+ in forsterite crystals (Mg2SiO4), codoped by chromium and lithium, has been demonstrated for the first time. The tunability within the spectral range 1030-1180 nm has been achieved in pulse mode. In CW mode the oscillation was reached in the range 1120-1140 nm.
