Supercontinuum generation from a Cr4+: YAG laser using a soft-glass extruded PCF

Abstract

We report on supercontinuum and third-harmonic generation in the high-n2 extruded photonic crystal fiber using a Cr4+: YAG laser with 60 fs pulse duration and less than 40 mW of average output power.
