We have investigated detailed properties of the amplitude to phase noise conversion coefficient (CAP) in the self-referencing carrier-envelope phase (CEP) measurement using microstructure fiber (MSF), and its effects on carrier-envelope phase control. We have found that CAP depends on the polarization direction, the coupled average power, the fiber length, the chirp of the input pulse, and the self-referencing wavelength. A typical measured value of CAP is 6.0 rad/mW for 60-mm-length MSF with coupled average power of 31 mW. The additional out-of-loop CEP errors arising from the amplitude noise of the laser oscillator are evaluated for different type of carrier-envelope-offset phase stabilized oscillators. The additional out-of-loop CEP error is 0.15 rad rms (integrated from 10kHz to 1Hz) for a CEO stabilized oscillator using a PZT.
