The Local Vibration Absorption Band in the YAG:Cr4+crystal

Abstract

New absorption band in Y3AI5O12 crystal doped with divalent metal ions Ca2+ or Mg2+ was found in MIR. We tend to assign it to local vibration modes, dealing with formation of an oxygen vacancy - divalent ion complex.
