Abstract

A self-frequency-doubling Nd:LGSB laser passively Q-switched by Cr4+:YAG saturable absorber is demonstrated. The device is delivering 531-nm green pulses with 163 nJ energy and 4.4-ns duration at 29 kHz repetition rate.
