Abstract

We report an 8.8 μm, carrier-envelope phase stable, mid-infrared optical parametric amplifier based on a GaSe nonlinear crystal, with 3.4-μJ idler pulse energy, and a flat spectrum covering 4.2-to-16 μm which supports 0.65-cycle pulses.
