1 to 18 GHz tunable intra-burst repetition rate high-power picosecond fiber laser for ultrafast material processing

Abstract

We report on a laser system emitting picosecond pulses at GHz repetition rates with controllable arbitrary energy. The system emits up to 20 W at 1030 nm in burst mode. Application to ablation is demonstrated.
