Narrow-Linewidth Operation of Folded VECSEL Cavity with Twist-Mode Configuration

Abstract

VECSELs exhibit much different longitudinal mode behavior when the device is placed at a fold of a standing wave cavity. Lasing spectmm can be narrowed by employing mode-twisting, stabilizing the standing-wave pattern at the VECSEL.
