130fs – Multiwatt Yb:CaF2 regenerative amplifier pumped by a fiber laser

Abstract

An Yb:CaF2 regenerative amplifier is pumped with a diffraction-limited fiber laser. It delivers more than 4.3 W of 130 fs pulses when operating between 5 and 50 kHz with a maximum energy of 0.9 mJ.
