Abstract

Efficient 1.06-μm and 1.34-μm laser emission from cladding waveguides inscribed by femtosecond-laser writing technique in Nd:YVO4 has been obtained using diode laser pumping at 880 nm, directly into the 4F3/2 emitting level of Nd:YVO4.
